From: Originally Newfoundland now living in Alberta Comments: Visited Old Perlican for the first time in summer of 2019. I was curious to visit as it was the home town of my grandfather Ruben Tizzard before his family left for St John's when he was just a young boy. I grew up knowing my family roots ran deep there and so eventually had to visit on my last trip home. My Ancestry includes Jolliffe (Simeon GG Grandfather), Goby/Gooby (James 5th G-Grandfather), Green (Phoebe GG-Grandmother), along with Taverner,Barrett, Lester just to name a few.
